Less than one year ago, today, this horse crushed my pelvis, broke 5 ribs and punctured my lung.  Yet, here I am, nursing this same horse back to health.  My son and daughter keep saying, "Why?  What the f....!  Are you nuts?"  Maybe.  For me, doing nothing to any hurt creature, when I can help it, is as bad as forsaking a friend in need.  Besides, a girl just can't help it!

When you find yourself a little gloomy, look around you and find somebody that is in a worse plight that yourself: go to him and find out what the trouble is.  Then try to remove it with the wisdom which the lord bestows upon you: and the first thing you know your gloom is gone.  You feel light.  Lorenzo Snow
